My Job Sucks! Then Do Something About It!
My Job Sucks! Then Do Something About It!
One of the most annoying things that I deal with is when someone tells me, "my job sucks," but they don't have the guts to do anything about it. It drives me freakin' crazy. I used to work at a job that I hated, but guess what? I developed a career doing something that I enjoy...a lot.
I know how it is, I promise, you get up in the morning and take your car through the traffic to work, see that one annoying co-worker, you know, the one you want to stab with a fork everyday at lunch, only to come face to face with the idiot, obnoxious person you get to call a boss. Oh, if you're a lady, let's not forget the office jackass that looks at you like the latest piece of meat. Then you go through the day, counting the seconds until five comes only to get back into your dream car and negotiate the traffic on the way home where you get to spend all of that quality time with your family, jump in bed and wake up to that electronic rooster so that you can do it all over again! Yea!
Do you want to do something about it? Are you tired of telling everyone around you, "my job sucks," or are you just one of those whiners that no one really wants to listen to? If you are not interested in changing your life, if you just want to complain to everyone, anyone, that will listen, then don't continue reading this article. I am not interested in hearing your whiney ass story, I am interested in those that actually want to change their station in life.
What is it that you really want? Do you even remember how to dream? Remember when you were young, you know, you had that fresh, bright-eyed naive expression ready to tackle the world. Then you got your job and got that slap of reality in your face. That's when you realized and first said, "My job sucks."
Guess what? All jobs suck. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people that enjoy their careers and enjoy what they do for a living, but you just haven't found your stride yet. I know people that have been with the same company doing the same thing for years and they are still content and wouldn't think about doing anything else. I don't know a lot of those people, but they are out there. You want something more, you want to be in charge of your own destiny. Well, what are you waiting for.
I have been marketing online for a few years now and I must say that I didn't know how much fun "work" could actually be. I love marketing online and making money is just icing on the cake. Getting to a point where this is all I did for a living was even better, but it does take some work. If you think you would like Internet marketing there are a few things you will need to do.
1) Determine what you want.
This may sound easy, but for many it is one of the hardest things to figure out, but it is the first step in getting to where you want to be. Don't want to do a thing? Well, I don't live in fantasy world, so I probably couldn't help you.
2) Assess your strengths and weaknesses.
You really need to be honest here. If you are interested in Internet marketing there are some things that you will need to become adept at. Writing is one of the most important aspects of marketing online - especially if you are looking to generate free traffic for your website or blog. You don't have to be a great writer, but you need to have a basic understanding of how to write an article.
You may also need to learn more about working with a computer and working online. Of course, you are here, so we'll not discuss that too much.
3) Learn, learn, learn
There is so much information on the Internet. You can literally find all of the key elements to learn how to make money online for free. Just about everything you need to know is out there at no charge. Of course, you can significantly cut that time down by purchasing an ebook or two. There are also different items you can buy that will help cut the work down. You will learn these as you go.
4) Take Action
Without action there is nothing. Without action there will be no results because there will be no activity. Duh. You'd be amazed, there are so many people out there that say, "my job sucks and I want to do something about it," but never do. I am getting to where I just can't stand that type of person. Go bitch somewhere else please.
Obviously, there are probably a few more steps to consider, but this is not an ebook. You can find a good one in "Nomad's Guide to Make Money Online." This may be one of the best ebooks for the Internet marketing newbie.
If you are one of those people that say, "my job sucks," but you ARE willing to change, then maybe, just maybe you have a chance. You can take action today and do something or you can be here same time next year whining about how crappy your life is. I just won't be one of those that will listen.
