My LOVE-HATE Relationship With the Sales Game

Am passionate about it or leave it, capitalism makes a heap of the planet go around. In its pure, utopian kind, capitalism may be a good thing. Offer and demand could be a sensible thing. However, when unethical, unscrupulous folks wanting to manipulate others get involved, it takes a flip for the worst.

Over the years, I've got been engaged in many philosophical queries about selling and its place in Company America. Let's face it, if every product or service was "the most effective" or as nice as each company or person touts it to be, that may be one thing. But, once more like politics, the job of the salesperson is typically to cater to wants and weaknesses based mostly on edges of their product or service - regardless if it's the simplest work - as a result of that's what their company pays them to do.

Sales has usually been the bane and beacon of my very existence, in the identical breath. I have witnessed and worked for people who have told me to steal, cheat, lie and lead without morals or principles. When the simplest interests of the individuals needed work on their half, they looked the opposite way. It is my humble opinion that when the interests of the folks and the requirements of the various are outweighed by the greed and politics of the few, that is where we as society and as sales entities get into trouble. But people who speak up are silenced. People who crusade for the individuals are crushed to a pulp, torn apart by others and run through the mud.

Who wins in sales?

Answer: the person who will realize a career in something they genuinely get pleasure from doing. The Robin Hood, who robs attention from the rich rascals and provides it to the people. Life is simply too short to let the bullies keep you down.

Each day, whether we tend to prefer it or not, we have a tendency to are faced with ups and downs, new challenges, threats and opportunities.
