When I was younger, I was slim and healthy like most people my age

. I played a lot of sport and had a lot of fun. Those were the good old carefree days. But then, only some years later, my life changed completely. If you have been fighting the weight loss battle for most of your adult life like I have, then you'll know that losing weight, and getting the weight to stay off permanently, is no easy task.

All my adult life I've had to watch what I eat, mentally counting calories with every mouthful I swallow. Every time I go to a social function with friends and family, like at Christmas time or Thanksgiving, or even business functions, I would peck at the food like a bird, carefully restricting my food intake, while everyone else tucked in heartily, consuming mounds of high calorie dishes, and digging into second helpings with merry abandon like there was no tomorrow. And the awful part of it was that they were all thin, while I was the only "fatty" there. It just did not seem fair. No, it's definitely not fair when you're born with a chronic "weight problem like me. It's not fair that your metabolism is slower than everyone else's, and that every mouthful of food you swallow seems to turn instantly into fat.

How can it be fair that everyone I know can eat whatever they like - plates piled high with seconds, desserts, chocolates, junk food of every description - and yet remain slim and trim and not gain an ounce of fat? This problem has had a profound psychological effect on me and on my life. I know that I have under-achieved in my profession because of it, and I have always felt like a "second-class citizen" - as though there was "something wrong with me". As though I am not as good as everybody else. How could I be when I was the only overweight "slob" in my family? If you're reading this article, then you will know exactly how I felt. Perhaps, like me, you have been on one diet or another for most of your life? I've been on so many different types of diets I can hardly remember them all. Fad diets, starvation diets, soup diets, diet pills- you name it. And then I found the Acai Berry diet.

At first I thought it was just another Fad Diet. But then I started to read about the successes people were having with it, and I saw high profile celebrities discuss the "magic" of the acai berry on TV talk shows, so I thought, what the heck, I've tried just about every diet in the book, why not try this one? What I discovered was this: losing weight is not a mysterious process - if you choose the right natural diet supplement which, in my case, proved to be concentrated acai berry. But taking Acai Berry concentrate by itself is not enough.


You need to combine acai with sensible eating and plenty of healthy exercise such as walking, swimming, cycling or other fun activity that you enjoy.
