My Wife Wants a Divorce - How Can I Change Her Mind

If you are dealing with the fact that your wife has started to hint at or directly come out and say that she wants to get a divorced, then you probably want to find a way to change her mind. Divorces do happen, and sometimes, there is nothing that you can do to change the inevitable outcome, but there are things that you can do to try and change her mind.

You have to ask yourself if you really want to just let her walk out of your life for good, or if you want to at least try your hardest to get her to change her mind and come back to you. More than likely, you want to at least know that you gave it your best shot and did all that you could to win her back.

Here's some advice on how you can change her mind:

1) Make her remember the old times, when things were good.

If you can get her to remember what it was like when the two of you first became a couple, then lots of times you can use that to build some momentum towards repairing the relationship. One thing that you need to know though, is that it is much more effective to get her to remember the good times by actually doing things that bring back those emotions, more than just talking about the past. Just talking about the past usually will not have a big effect on her, at least not as much as making her FEEL that same way again.

2) Find a way to work out the little issues that usually build up into bigger ones.

Divorces usually happen only after a bunch of little issues have built up and snowballed into much bigger ones. If you go after those little issues, the little things that become much bigger ones, then you have a lot better chance at getting back your wife and making her forget about getting a divorce. You have to remember that it is not all on her, that you play some part in this, so look at the things that YOU can do differently.

3) Do not become obsessed with only her.

You want to have your wife back and she is the only woman that you want to be with, and that can be a good thing. Just don't let it get to the point where it is all that you think about, because that is the kind of thing that can make you start slipping up and doing all of the WRONG things. You need to keep a balanced perspective and realize that there are lots of women out there, and that even though you want to get her back, she is not the only one out there for you.
