Mylar Sheets: Making A Mark As Mirrors In Studios

In the film industry, Mylar sheets are used instead of real mirrors. They are highly reflective, portable ,easy to install, lightweight and will not easily break. Mylar confetti and streamers are often used in movies for dazzling effects. The highly reflective surface to catch the light and make them sparkle and shine.

Mylar sheets are also used in some baby toys instead of mirrors for security reasons. Some dance studios and rehearsal Mylar mirrors used for obvious reasons.

It is easy to build a Mylar mirror like what you see in movies.

You will need:

Mylar sheet

Right edge metal ruler

Craft knife or scissors

Permanent marker

rigid material such as cons-plated with a smooth surface

Contact cement or craft glue

Frame
