The procession starts in the afternoon from the Mysore Palace and ends in the Bannimantap, where the historic Banni Tree is worshipped. According to the legend, it is this tree, where Pandavas hid their arms when they were living anonymously (Adnyatavasa) for 1 year. Traditionally, this tree is worshipped before going on warfare, so as to achieve victory. When the procession comes to Bannimantap, again some spectacular programs are presented, the most remarkable of which is a Torchlight Parade.
