Mystery Method : The Mystery
We are living in an era bibliphiles call the dispensatin f grace
. I want t call it the age f the mystery. T simplify it further, I will simply call it tday.
Tday is all abut Gentiles. It is a time filled with the wnderful things Gd planned befre He created heaven and earth. It is a time abut which I was ignrant fr 37 years f my church life.
Even thugh I had been reared in a denminati
nal system, I eventually realized I had been taught very little dctrine. I had been taught: 1) abut my Baptist religin,
2) Christ died fr my sins,
3) sin in my life wuld keep me frm having a gd relatinship with Gd,
4) t attend church regularly,
5) t abstain frm ding many things (dn't smke, dn't chew and dn't g with the girls that d).
6) t give my tithes, and
7) t witness t the lst.
All f these things were suppse t make me a better Baptist, a better Christian.
I had nt been taught:
1) hw t study,
2) the unique ministry f Paul,
3) the mystery,
4) abut the bdy f Christ,
5) the difference between the gspel Peter preached and the gspel Paul preached,
6) that there were different inheritances (heavenly and earthly), and
7) hw t rightly divide the wrd f truth.
All f these things wuld grund me in the truth which wuld make me a better steward f the mysteries f Gd and f the manifld grace f Gd.
I Gt Mad
When smene first shwed me the unique ministry f Paul, I resisted it. I was steeped in my Baptist religin and what I was seeing and hearing made me mad. I thught the persn telling me these strange things was a heretic. I thugh my sister, wh had intrduced me t this man, had jined an ccult.
I was brught up in a Suthern Baptist church. I had taught Sunday schl fr many years. If what this man was saying was the truth, why hadn't sme f my frmer pastrs tld me abut them? Mre imprtantly, why hadn't I seen them myself?
After several meetings with this man, Brther E.C. Mre, I determined that I wuld search the scriptures pertaining t the things abut what he taught and wuld cme back at a future date and shw him hw wrng he was. That didn't happen. What happened was I saw that his teaching was crrect; which meant that all prir teaching I had received was wrng r grssly inadequate.

After several years f discvery cncerning the mystery and the apstle Paul, I entered int the ministry. I had surrendered t preach as a teenager, but Gd knew when I shuld hnr my cmmitment, and age thirteen was nt that time. Gd did nt allw me t start teaching until I had seen the truth f right divisin, at the ripe ld age f thirty-seven.
I left my hme in Alexandria, Luisiana and mved t Batn Ruge. Within a shrt perid f time my tw Bible classes had grwn t where I felt we shuld frm a church. That was in 1976 and I have nt lked back since.
What is the Mystery and why is it s imprtant?
The mystery as revealed unt the apstle Paul is multifaceted and is abut thse f us living in this present time perid I call "Tday." The mystery is nt just ne thing but a series f events Gd revealed t Paul ver several years.
The mystery is abut:
1) the Dispensatin f the Grace f Gd:

3) Israel's blindness:
4) the preaching f Jesus Christ:
5) the mystery f Christ: and
6) the Mystery f Gd:

When I learned what the mystery entailed I began t understand the Bible. I fund that the Bible is basically abut tw grups f peple, Jews and Gentiles. In my searching I discvered the Jews had been prmised an earthly inheritance with Gd while the Gentiles were assured f a heavenly inheritance with the Lrd.
I sn learned:
1) that the things f the law, as it pertains t salvatin, had been superseded by grace.
2) that in this present time perid, Paul was the apstle t fllw and nt Peter.
3) abut a unique grup f peple that are called the bdy f Christ, and when that bdy began.
These are all part f the secret r the mystery.
I did nt understand
1. I was a Baptist, but what was baptism really fr? Baptism had always been cnfusing t me. Why did sme believe it was fr salvatin and thers did nt?
2. The Bk f Revelatin scared me half t death. I lived in fear f ging thrugh the tribulatin until I realized the bdy f Christ was nt subject t it.
When I learned my sins culd nt separate me frm the lve f Gd, I cried with jy. I learned that I had a liberty in Christ because He had made me free, and being made free frm sin I culd be the servant fr the Lrd I needed t be.
Befre lng I was n lnger cnfused, and since cnfusin had been driven ut f life my spirit sared. I became happier. I was mre cntent with my life and the peple with whm I shared it. I learned t stp trying s hard t d things fr the Lrd and started trusting in the Lrd.
If yu culd learn my secret t happiness, wuld yu want t?
Here it is:
1. Quit accepting man's wrd fr what the Bible says and start trusting Gd's Wrd.
2. Study and rightly divide the Bible.
3. Learn all yu can abut Paul. He is ur apstle. He is ur pattern t fllw.
4. Learn the difference between the gspel f the circumcisin and the gspel f the uncircumcisin.
5. Knw that even thugh all things in the Bible are fr us (the bdy f Christ), nt all things are t us because there is a difference between that which Paul preached and that which Peter preached.
6. Knw the bks f the Bible that are specifically t us (the bdy f Christ), (Rmans- Philemn).
7. Knw the bks f the Bible that are nt t yu (the bdy f Christ), , especially Daniel and Revelatin.
8. Realize that nce yu trust Christ as yur Savir yu are guaranteed a heavenly inheritance with all the blessings that cme with it.
9. Get a Bible that has n cntradictins, a King James Bible is best. Nt the New King James r the NIV.

8. We had been raised up t sit with Christ.
9. We wuld be partakers f his prmise in Christ by the simple preaching f the gspel.
10. We have redemptin thrugh his bld, as well as the frgiveness f sins.
11. He had taken away the rdinances f the law that were against us.
12. We have been delivered frm the wrath t cme because we were the children f light.
13. He wanted all men t cme t the knwledge f the truth.
