NEW GENRE OF MUSIC EMERGES

Tea Party Rock? Most have heard of the Tea Party Movement

, the emerging political movement that has been in the news the past two years and is considered a grass-roots organization. But what is Tea Party Rock? It's a new genre of music- political satirical music with a classic rock sound that discusses the current issues of the day- government bailouts, deficit spending, government takeover of the auto industry and health care along with a the principles of freedom and liberty.

The titles of the new 12 track CD is called Tea Party Rock, which is the same name for the genre of the music. The twelve track music CD includes- Tea Party Blues(which discusses the emerging Tea Party political movement), Obama Mobile (the government take-over of the auto industry), Stand Up for Our Country (a patriotic tune that is a call to action), Deficit Blues(discusses the massive federal debt), Government Bailout (self-explanatory), Don't Tread on Me (the rallying cry of the Tea Party Movement and a slogan that dates back to the Revolutionary War), Exorcism Time (how elected officials have ignored their constituents), Live Free or Die (which questions if we value our liberty and freedom), Psalm 2010 (a gospel sounding tune), Tale of Barack (self-explanatory) and American Trilogy 2010 ( a comedy spoof on political correctness that uses a monologue and songs). American Trilogy is based on Elvis Presley's American Trilogy that he recorded live in the 1970s. The three songs in the trilogy are- the Battle Hymn of the Republic, Dixieland and All My Trials.

The artist is We the People, which are obviously the first three words of the American Constitution. The artist utilizes the basic rock instruments- drums, acoustic and 12 string guitars, bass guitar, keyboards and at times banjo, harmonica and harpsichord sounds.

Each song utilizes current events to tell a specific story and convey a particular message. With the upcoming mid-term elections, the songs would appear to be relevant. The targeted audience for this genre are people who are political junkies and activists who follow politics and current events very closely.
