This is unbelievable, against all odds the Saints are about to write their name in the history books of Football, they are defeating the Colts 31-17

. Miami is witnessing New Orleans' first National Football League Championship in their history; the Super Bowl XLIV is theirs. Wow! Reading these lines must make you feel like having a flashback, time flies, doesn't it? We'll, sure it does, and that glorious day is already behind, now the calendar says that a new season packed with many sensations is about to begin.

The Saints will face this season with the feet on the ground and focused in the road the follow; they want to emulate what the Patriots did back in 2002, 2004, and 2005. They are hungry for more and hoping that last season's success is just the beginning of more championships to come.

One of the teams that is experiencing serious losses is the Cardinals, as they saw the departure of Karlos Dansby, Kurt Warner, Antrel Rolle, and Anquan Boldin. All of them are great player that will affect the performance of the team this season, but probably the most severe absence to overcome will be Warner's, as Matt Leinart hasn't fulfill the expectations.

The Western Conference has been under the Chargers' domain during the past five years, and changes have been made to extend that hegemony. Despite their star LaDainian Tomlinson's departure to New York after nine years in San Diego, they are still looking as the stronger team in their division. His place will be taken by Ryan Matthews, from Fresno State. Their offensive is looking good and tough, not in vain they had the fifth best one in the season. This year they will be leaded again by quarterback Philip Rivers, who is after his third consecutive season exceeding the 4 thousand miles. The question is if they can spread their dominion to the playoffs, or if things are going to end like last year, where they finished in the 11th place. They have only been able to play the Super Bowl once, despite the talented team that they have.

One team that is currently struggling much is the Raiders, and coach Tom Cable has a tough task ahead to improve the shamming performance from last season, where they finished with one of the worst records, 5-11. With JaMarcus Russell gone, his place will be taken by Jason Campbell, who played for Washington. Hopefully their draft selections: Darren McFadden y Michael Bush will be of great help for team.

In Denver things don't look good either, as Elvis Dummervil will be out for at least four months and coach Josh McDaniels is rebuilding the team. One positive aspect is that quarterback Kyle Orton will have more competition between Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow.

There are still many questions to answer, but it is too soon to do so, the preseason will help as a lead, but you never know how reliable that lead can be. We'll have to wait until the season kicks in to clear our doubts.
