NJ Volkswagen earns "10Best" distinction

These days, you have to do anything you can to differentiate your auto brand from the competition. So many automakers are focused on fuel efficiency, which is certainly a big factor in today's driving, but how do you prove that you're the best at what you do? NJ Volkswagen drivers will tell you that honors and distinctions play a big role in driving sales and brand loyalty, and that's just what Volkswagen accomplishes as the years go by. One of the most prestigious distinctions I can think of is the US is Car and Driver's "10Best Cars" award, and guess who won the award this year? That's right, it was VW, among others. But the big win goes to the VW Golf/GTI, one of the most fuel efficient and reliable cars on the market today. I've been following the Golf/GTI for years, and it continues to receive honors for being one of the best cars on the market. Last year, I test-drove one of these quality vehicles and found out for myself. This year, I'm driving one down the road just about every day on my commute to work. For working in the city, a New Jersey VW is exactly what the doctor ordered.

The Golf/GTI is a fun vehicle for the driving public, zipping around curves and pulling into tight parking spots without any real trouble. NJ Volkswagen dealers have been putting up huge numbers for the model, which features some of the most cutting edge fuel technology available on the market. According to a write-up in Car and Driver, "Perhaps you've heard that Volkswagen has gone and dumbed-down the Jetta for the U.S. market; fortunately, the Golf and the GTI haven't suffered the same ignominious fate. It's the master of a budget-conscious segment whose other entrants ask buyers to compromise on refinement, fun, or both. The Golf's inline-five engine looks weak on paper, but its copious torque moves the car without much effort." As a man who owns one of these cars, I know you won't be disappointed.

For 2011, VW looks like it's planning on having a banner year. NJ Volkswagen dealers are already posting huge sales numbers in the face of economic re-growth. Will New Jersey VW drivers rise to the challenge of 2011? I expect so. The progression of engine technology is too much for the average driver to ignore, and the car market may look very different in the next three years. As technology progresses, keep your eyes on VW because the company is poised to dominate over the next couple of years. We'll see what 2011 has to bring.
