Nascar Fans Are More Loyal Than Any Other

In the world of sports there are a lot of popular ones

, but none is faster growing than that of auto racing. NASCAR is one of the fastest growing sanctioning bodies of auto racing in the world. It is growing in popularity not only in the country but in other countries as well. Perhaps this is the case because of the accessibility that they give their fans to the sport and the players in it.

In no other sport would you ever be allowed to hear the conversations of a coach and his players during the game for the entire game. However, in NASCAR, they have essentially done this by allowing the fans to know the radio frequency of each racing team. The fans then use scanners to listen in on the discussion. They get to control how much of that conversation they listen to. If they want to hear every last little detail, they can through the scanner.

Other sports have seen how popular this is and have attempted to do their own version of this. Many other sports do not have radio communication, so what they have done is to mic up the coach during the game and listen a couple of times during a time out. While this does help to create a loyal fan base, it is now where near as intense and the loyalty of the NASCAR fan.

Another reason that the fans of NASCAR have been so loyal is because of the roots of the sport. It all started in the backwoods of the south when men were trying to out-race the cops over the state line in hustling their moonshine whiskey. They became very good drivers and knew how to handle their cars in a way that allowed them to escape being caught by the police.

This beginning came in the deep south where family is a strong value. In families, loyalty is taught and expected at all cost. This is the root fan base for the sport and they all know loyalty. This is one of the main reasons that fans in NASCAR become so loyal and passionate about the drivers that they follow. They watch very religiously each week to cheer on their driver in hopes of a victory. They want to see their guy win, but they also want to see the ones that they hate the most lose. Some drivers develop not only a loyal following of fans, but they also have a loyal following of haters. This is good drama for the sport that continues to drive its growth.
