In the late 1940s, a group of racers have organized the authority in promoting and spearheading events for drivers of stock cars who are collectively known today as the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). This series gave way to those racers who want a more challenging experience, as the "feel" of driving these vehicles is a lot different than driving the typical sedans used in other stock car racing series.
