The sonographers are getting training in gynecologic and obstetric sonography, abdominal sonography, neurosonography, breast sonography at the ultrasound technician colleges. Other specialization areas are vascular or cardiac sonography. The other areas where sonographers work are the health care facilities. They work usually at the diagnostic imaging machines. They work on the basis of contract employees and may need to travel to many healthcare facilities in the locality on they job.
