Until this weekend, Nazanin Boniadiwas a little known actress

, but that has all changed thanks toVanity Fairarticle detailing how she was chosen by Scientology leaders to beTom Cruises wife in 2004.

And now as more details have emerged about the beautiful actress it is clear that she is much more than just a pretty face.

Maureen OrthsVanity Fairarticle said that Nazanin Boniadi, an actress and member of the Church of Scientology, spent a month being questioned and was forced to give out personal secrets and details of her sex life with a high-ranking Scientology official before she was approved to date Cruise from November 2004 until January 2005. Now thats a shocker!

Nevertheless, as soon as the news broke out, a rep for Tom Cruise has deniedVanity Fairs cover story, tellingUs Weeklythat all of the articles contents are false.

The entire story is hogwash. There was no project, secret or otherwise, ever conducted by the Church to find a bride (audition or otherwise) for any member of the church,the Church released in a statement.

The allegation and entire premise of the Vanity Fair article is totally false . . . We have been denying this ridiculous tale now since it first appeared in print four years ago.

The Scientologys rep also criticized filmmaker and outspoken former ScientologistPaul Haggiswho wrote to Showbiz411 on Sept. 2, confirming the Vanity Fair story and defending his friend Bioniadi.

Naz was embarrassed by her unwitting involvement in this incident and never wanted it to come out, so I kept silent, Haggis wrote to Showbiz411.com.

However I was deeply disturbed by how the highest ranking members of a church could so easily justify using one of their members; how they so callously punished her and then so effectively silenced her when it was done. It wasnt just the threats; they actually made her feel ashamed, when all she had been was human and trusting.

But, according to the spokesperson, Haggis is simplyattempting to grab headlines and falsely slander his former religion.

The rep also said,No Church members were used, nor were they punished, nor silenced. This is totally false.

For the record: The magazine also revealed that the 32-year-oldNazanin Boniadiwas the top choice as Toms girlfriend(and potential wife)in 2004.
