Nba Tickets - Bold Predictions

Here are some bold predictions for the 2009-10 NBA season.

The Celtics will earn the one seed in the Eastern Conference. If Boston can stay healthy, I think they're the best team in the East. They nearly beat the Orlando Magic last season in the playoffs, and that was without Kevin Garnett. Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are all getting up there in years, but they've got young players like Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins to help shoulder the load. Look for a breakout season form Rondo as he becomes one of the premier sellers of NBA tickets among point guards.

New Jersey will prove to be the most attractive free agent destination from a talent standpoint. The Nets have some good young players and I think the franchise will look like a very enticing landing spot for prospective free agents next summer. Devin Harris is a budding star, Brook Lopez is one of the best young centers in the game and young guys like Courtney Lee and Terrance Williams look very promising. It seems like a great landing spot for a guy like Chris Bosh in 2010.

Marvin Williams will finally emerge as the versatile player that the Hawks have always hoped he'd be. If you remember, Williams was selected with the number two overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, ahead of guys like Deron Williams and Chris Paul. While Williams has been a solid player thus far, he's yet to live up to the hype that made him the second pick in that draft. I think he puts it together this season, as long as he can stay healthy. He's added a three-point shot and can do everything well. He keeps his turnovers down and should be poised for a big season.

Deron Williams will close the perceived gap between him and Chris Paul. Williams has spent his career thus far living in Paul's shadow in some ways, but he's one of the best point guards in the league. I think he does enough to make people recognize that fact and has the best season of his career to date. He can do everything you need him to do on the floor.

Greg Oden will have a really good year. Oden is finally healthy and has a year of seasoning in the pros. He'll cut down on his fouls and he should, at the very least, be a good rebounder and defender. I think that his athleticism will produce a few wow plays this season and I wouldn't be surprised if the Blazers tried to work him into the offense more.

The Clippers will contend for a playoff spot. The Clippers have what it takes to compete this season. Baron Davis is reportedly in great shape and should be ready to bounce back from a tough first season playing pro ball in his hometown. Eric Gordon is a blossoming young player and guys like Blake Griffin and Al Thornton have a lot of potential. I like where this team is headed.

Anthony Randolph will announce his presence to the world. The Warriors' physical freak is ready to bust out in a big way. He's in line to start and is definitely a potential superstar.
