Nba Tickets - Heat Look To Defend Their Title

It was barely a year ago when the team suffered a disappointing finish

, losing to the Dallas Mavericks and crushing the hopes of Heat fans everywhere who were hoping (and demanding) the "Big Three" of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh win a championship right away. Well, it would finally happen, but it would just take an extra season to do so. After defeating the Boston Celtics on June 9th to advance to the NBA finals for the second year in a row, NBA tickets were sold rapidly to see the Heat trounce the Oklahoma City Thunder at home in their 121-106 victory in Game 5, crowning them as the 2012 NBA Champions.

Miami is looking to defend their championship and prove they're more than a one-year wonder. They have a great foundation to continue winning, but management continues to look for ways to improve their superior roster. Without much cap room to work with when it comes to signing free agents, caution needs to be exercises when it comes to making moves and signing players.

One of the very few flaws that Miami has with its roster is that the Heat doesn't have an experienced center or somebody who is able to lead the second unit. While they won without them this past season, it would make them even stronger this upcoming season if they were to sign somebody like Marcus Camby to the veteran's minimum. Camby would have a good chance of finally winning a championship with the Heat, and he would offer them the rebounding, defensive form of a center that they were lacking this past season.

Even though Miami possesses a solid group of bench players like Cole, Haslem, Battier and Miller, a veteran leader is lacking in this group. Somebody like Jason Terry could make the Heat nearly unstoppable. As one of the best three-point shooters in the league and as a fantastic scorer, Terry would keep Miami in that top echelon of teams. Rumors are that there is significant mutual interest between Terry and Miami, but at the same time, the Heat is also considering Celtics' veteran Ray Allen. While the debate is ongoing as to which of the two players would be a better fit in Miami, signing one of them would certainly be a move that the team can afford to make in order to win back-to-back championships.

The advantage that the Heat has over other teams in the NBA is that they're now the defending champions, and every player wants to play for a winning team. Add to that everything that Miami has to offer, and it won't be a difficult sell for the Heat to make to any prospective free agents this offseason. The team's management needs to consider the right players at the right price to make sure the team will continue to perform. By balancing out hustle and experience with knowledgeable players who are solid on offense and defense, Miami will continue to be a nightmare for opposing teams on the court. Only time will tell if the Heat can pull it off.
