Nba Tickets - Season Outlook For Brooklyn Nets

Don't call them the New Jersey Nets anymore! The 2012-2013 NBA season welcomes the

recently-relocated Brooklyn Nets who are hoping for a change of fortune to follow their change of scenery this NBA season. With a beautiful new arena and a talented new roster, the Nets hope that this will be a difference maker when it comes to the NBA standings, as well as selling more NBA tickets in Brooklyn. There have been some trying times for the Nets since their last challenges at the NBA title in 2002 and 2003. What can fans expect from the Brooklyn Nets in the upcoming season? What needs to happen in order to get the best out of the roster? A few things need to be considered.

The Return of Brook Lopez:

Lopez had a bout of bad luck last season after suffering a broken foot early, followed by an ankle injury after returning to action. The solid center from Stanford can score in the post, and if he continues to develop, the Nets could have a player of All-Star caliber. If the Nets don't hurry him along and give him the right amount of rest and rehab, Lopez could definitely come back strong for the team, who misses his down low presence.

Gerald Green's Bench Presence:

After he's bounced around from team to team, Green showed the NBA he can still play after the Nets signed him to a 10-day contract which saw some great play from the veteran during that stretch. As a result, if the Nets bring him back, he could help the team solidify the bench and be a solid option as a scoring swingman when the rest of the roster needs a rest.

Kris Humphries' Continued Emergence:

Poor Kris Humphries. After being on the receiving end of jokes due to his short-lived marriage to reality TV "superstar" Kim Kardashian, it seems that most of the fans forgot that he's a really good player and could continue to step forward with a contract extension. Humphries' position as a solid power forward will continue to provide the Nets with solid presence when it comes to rebounding. With 11 rebounds and 13.8 points per game - in addition to 1.2 blocks per game - Humphries is one of the few players in the NBA to average a double-double, and Brooklyn will continue to put him to good use when it comes to controlling the boards.

Increased Attendance in the New Arena:

If New Jersey wanted to keep the Nets around, they certainly didn't show it when it came to attendance. With the lowest average attendance in the entire NBA (under 14,000 per game), the Nets drew less fans than the Charlotte Bobcats, who finished with the worst winning percentage in the NBA's entire history. The Nets hope that their brand new arena along with its marketing hype surrounding the new team and new players will bring in fans to see the team in action. If the team starts to win on the court, don't be surprised if the games start to sell out fast!
