Nba Tickets - Week 1 Power Rankings

Here are the top 10 teams in the NBA as I see them as of Nov

. 2, 2009, listed in order.

Orlando Magic: The Magic have not had Rashard Lewis for a game yet, nor Mickael Pietrus, and they may have lost Vince Carter for a while. Why are they number one then? Because they're the deepest team in the league. Dwight Howard has picked up right where he left off last season and this squad knows how to play team basketball. They don't seem to be missing Hedo Turkoglu at all. I think they're better than they were last season, easily.

Boston Celtics: The Celtics are looking good in the early going. Kevin Garnett's knee seems to be fine and Rajon Rondo is dishing the ball better than ever. Their opening night win against Cleveland was a defensive statement and they should be one of the best defensive teams in the league. They might wear down a bit as the season progresses, but they're looking strong right now.

Los Angeles Lakers: The Lakers drop two spots on this list because they had a hiccup against the Mavericks and we're not sure how long Pau Gasol will be out. It's certainly not time to panic in Laker Land, though. Kobe Bryant has looked pretty fresh and Ron Artest seems to be meshing well.

Dallas Mavericks: The Mavs are looking pretty solid, especially after an early win against the Lakers. Dirk Nowitzki doesn't get enough credit for being able to play the way he does at his size; it's impressive. This team is solid across the board and will be even better when they get Josh Howard back from injury.

San Antonio Spurs: They don't play the flashy ball that sells tons of NBA tickets, but this team is going to be solid all season. They had a tough loss in Chicago, but Tim Duncan still nearly beat the Bulls on his own. Duncan looks pretty fresh out there, as he partook in a new offseason program to get in better shape and stave off the aging process a bit. Duncan has impressed thus far and the rest of this team should round into form.

Denver Nuggets: The Nuggets are looking really good and Carmelo Anthony has been the best player in the league through the first week. He's scoring at will and this team seems to be on a mission to prove that last season was no fluke.

Cleveland Cavaliers: The Cavs dropped their first two, but expect them to right the ship. They've got the best player in the world, and that always helps.

Portland Trail Blazers: The Blazers are still young, which they've shown at times, but Brandon Roy plays wise beyond his years. Andre Miller has provided a spark off the bench and I think it's only a matter of time until he's starting.

Atlanta Hawks: The Hawks have looked good, but I'm still not convinced they're ready to take things to the next level.

Washington Wizards: Gilbert Arenas looks healthy and quick, while Andray Blatch is doing a very nice job filling in for the injured Antawn Jamison.
