Well, if your reading this article, you may be having a rough time right now
. If you are and you need to get your ex back, read on. I am going to give you a little bit of inspiration and maybe even some hope that you can get your ex back. What makes me qualified to write this article?
You see, I have been on both sides of a relationship. I have seen the ultimate lows and I am now living the ultimate high. I married my high school sweetheart, had a son, thought that life was going great, only to be told on Christmas Eve that my wife wanted a divorce!
A divorce! I didn't really plan on spending that much on you this year, honey! A divorce can be expensive, you know. You sure that you wouldn't rather have some perfume? Maybe a puppy?
I can joke about it now, because in the end I was able to get my ex back and am now living an incredible life with my wife and three boys! It took us five years, a divorce, a lot of tears, plenty of arguements, sleepless nights, minor depression, and a little luck. . . . but now we have been remarried for almost 14 years and have three incredible sons and a very happy life!
So now you know a little bit about me and my crazy journey to get my ex back, lets see if we can help you do the same.
I'm going to be honest with you, I think the reason that we got back together was pure determination and the fact that we still loved each other. If you both don't really love each other, then it's not going to work. Sorry, but it's the truth. In reality, you don't want to be in a loveless, one sided relationship anyways, do you?
So, let's start with the premise that deep down you really love each other. You may be going through a tough time, but you both do love each other, right? Only you and your ex know the true answer to that. But, we will assume that that is the case.
The one thing that I will tell you is that if I would of tried to learn more about relationships and how to get my ex back, I would of got back with her a lot sooner. As with anything, you can struggle through and try to figure it out on your own, or you can learn from someone who knows what steps to take.
I didn't know what steps to take. I just knew that I loved her and that we were meant to be together and my first son was meant to have a full time father. If I knew back then what I know now, I would of learned as much as I could about how to get an ex back. I would learn from someone who knew more than me about it.
Here are a few tips that I think will help you on your path to getting your ex back:
1) Minimize Contact
Spending time away from each other can actually help more than you think. One of the reasons for the breakup may be that your ex has just had enough. If they broke up with you, it's most likely because they feel that they will be better off without you. I know it's not easy to hear. But, begging to see them or being clingy will just push them further away. It could be that some time away will remind them of how important you are to them. Closing the doors of communication may look as if you are doing the opposite to rejuvenating a failed relationship, but it is one of the best things that you can do if you really want to get your ex back. I remember how hard I would try. I just thought if I could only say the right thing or show her how much I loved her, she would want me back. It actually did the opposite, it only pushed her further away. So leave them alone for a little while, let the dust settle, and start to work on yourself. Which brings us to our next tip.
2) Improve yourself
This is the time to look your best and show them what they're missing. Nobody wants a loser who looks like a drunk or homeless beggar on the street. Remember what you looked like whenever you first got together. Were you confident and independent or where you desperate and needy? Look at it through their eyes, would you want to be with someone that looks like a total nightmare and can't stand on their own two feet? I know that your hurting, but it's human nature, everyone loves a winner. If you look like a loser, do you really expect your ex to be like, "oh yeah, I got to get back with that!" Besides, in the event that you and your ex don't make it work, it will give you the confidence to move on. If you look like you don't need them, believe me, they will wonder if they're going to miss out on something. If you cling to them, begging for another chance, they will just push further away.
Of course there is way more to getting your ex back then what we talked about here, but these two things will help you dramatically if you are strong enough to do them. Good luck!
