The ancient temples and the palatial palaces are the epitomes and real reflection of the culture and heritage of the people of Nepal; believed to have been built by the Malla kings of the Medieval Nepal. The other name of the Durbar Square is Hanumandhoka.

The prominent ancient temples and monuments of this landmark include the Taleju Bhavani, Kal Bhairav, Nautale Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, and the Gaddi Baithak. The other famous temples include the Temple of the Living Goddess Kumari, the wooden temple of Kasthamandap, Ashok Vinayak. The next must visit is known as the Swoyambhunath stupa. This hotspot is adorned by many temples, shrines, Tibetan monasteries, and the statues of many other Gods. This location is also famous for mysticism, tantra, spirituality, ancient sculptures and fine arts. The other major attraction in Kathmandu is the Patan Durbar Square famous for its handicrafts and other sites.

As you would proceed with your trekking adventure, you would probably explore Syabru Bensi, Langtang, Kyangiing Gompa, Langshia over a 10-12 day trip in the Himalayan terrains.
