Nepotism, Jobbery And Corruption In Government Employment Procedures

There is huge difference in work and incomes of private people and government officials

. Government official work 40 hours during a week for income 10 to 500 times higher than private freelancers who work around 70 hours or more during a week (500 times for USA or other advanced countries officials). This is very sharp difference. I know it because I worked as a government officer for some time and my father was also government official. I left two 17 grade jobs during 1994 due to some pressure. Now despite having 18 years of experience, I am living like government peon or clerk standard life. My class fellows are in grade 18 to 19 now. Today I remember some of them. Khalid Rashid was one of my best friends and class fellows but proved very selfish later. After passing his B.Sc. (only 256 out of 550 marks) in the year 1991-92 he joined WAPDA as an Assistant Computer Programmer due to the influence of his father Abdul Rashid, who was P.S/P.A to G.M Tarbela Dam. His father old boss Abdul Khaliq Khan appointed him who was Member Water in WAPDA. I think these days he is in Neelam WAPDA project in grade 16 or 17. His father and sister Rehana Rashid who is 19 grade officers in Atomic Energy Commission has big bungalows in the Margalla Town, Islamabad. Similarly, I got 17 grade job in the same department PMO, Tarbela Dam as a Computer Programmer due to many recommendations which I unfortunately left due to my appointment in Pakistan Navy. I personally know many people in WAPDA whose children were appointed like this.

Sijjad Siddique (or Sajjad Ahmad but Siddique was his father) joined Atomic energy commission during 1993 in grade 17 probably in 19 now. He was son of WAPDA stenographer in Tarbela Dam. Nasir Sohail joined Pakistan Navy as S-Lieutenant during 1993. He might be commander now. He was son of security guard in WAPDA. He was in my senior batch in Navy and destroyed me by telling a lie during his holidays visit that there is no ragging in Navy. Musaddiq Ahmed Khan Tahirkheli joined as Assistant Commissioner after passing his CSS. They were equally talented like me but WAPDA, Federal Public Commission (FPSC), and Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) destroyed my career by not selecting me on merit. Everyone knows how many relatives of officials are employed due to nepotism and jobbery. Huge numbers of government employees have one to seven children of same family in government service. There is no estimate of other relatives like brother or sisters which come to service due to their influence and resource. Huge numbers of fake degree holders are also employed in government jobs. Fake experience certificate is common thing which I never made and could not get good job.

It is very tragic that often governments do not acknowledge rights of deprived people for instance in my case. They try to crush or coerce rights claimers. It is the best practice to acknowledge and provide rights to the deprived people. I have been struggling for my rights for a long time without any success.

I wrote about these of my class fellows. All of them were very intelligent and talented. Sijjad and Nasir were five time prayer and Islamists. Sijjad is Punjabi but did his M.Sc. from Peshawar University so he was Pathan favorite too. Nasir was Pashto. Musaddiq was from rich senior officer family so he was accepted in the DMG bureaucracy.

Torture increased considerably after writing these comments and articles. Today I am aroused from sleep 4 to 5 times by electric jerks. Corruption mafia is very powerful force. It is the state of freedom of expression in Pakistan. Once during 8 to 12 years ago, when we were living on rent in 732-R, Model Town Lahore voices in opposite home told me that you might be tortured to death. Later my father purchased 571-R in the Model Town (Where my father died on May 28, 2004 and we sold the house in the same year at very low price). I did not believe but now these jerks are like murder attempt. Anyhow, I will not surrender in front of these cruel forces even if they kill me. It will become history. Everything is recorded over internet.

Last thing in the post is that my father died on May 28, 2004 mysteriously. It was the day (May 28, 1998) Pakistan announced that it had successfully conducted five nuclear tests. I doubt any connection. During those days I was very enthusiastic Pakistani and favored nuclear test so did my late father. I doubt my father was murdered due to his property. His all cash and property documents were in UBL bank, WAPDA House branch. We children took succession and declaration certificates from the court in order to get his property. My father was taking good pension so his death in the age of 62 benefited WAPDA, who saved pension.
