Netbook Review - Far From a Toy and why it can be your primary computer

The trend in electronics has always been to make everything as small as possible, but still useful. Sometimes that works and sometimes the balance of size and power simply do not. The netbook on the other hand, is the ultimate example of a successful reduction. Weighing an average of 3 lbs. or less and about the size of your favorite photo of Uncle Harry 8 "x 10" and only 1 cm thick, we have the compact.

Now instead of talking about what you can do with a notebook, let's talk about what you can do. Ok, I'm ready now ... Seriously, I have a notebook and I use it as my primary computer and I spent a total of 11 pounds 17-inch Toshiba laptop. I have not found a single thing I did on that behemoth of a computer that my little netbook can do it.

I am a heavy user of spreadsheets and I thought that maybe a problem, but I must say with a scroll mouse is no problem. The 10-inch widescreen display is incredibly bright and clear. To view streaming video, play your favorite music or play all but the most intensive games? The netbook is happy to play!

Wireless Internet connectivity is seamless to my home network and I work outside on the terrace during the beautiful spring and summer days. When the mood hits me I go for my favorite coffee shop with my notebook under my arm and reply to my emails and surf the net while my bakkie.

The other great thing is that I'm not looking at a plug halfway through what I do before the fatal black screen, the battery is faulty. Battery life of netbooks is excellent and can keep you happy without electricity for 6-8 hours on a single charge. And ... I do not know about you, but I could fry an egg on my old laptop it was so hot. The netbook does not break a sweat and I have never had a shutdown due to heat.

Want to bluetooth devices, external DVD player, connect external monitor when you really need? The netbooks are full connectivity so you can get everything you bought for your laptop or desktop computers to use.

Netbooks are becoming so popular that they are available from major manufacturers such as Asus, Acer, Averatec, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI and Samsung. They range in price from $ 300 - $ 400, which is really a bargain, and if you do not seriously consider Netbooks I highly recommend you do.
