In this year's CES, netbook is no longer a star like last couple of years, it completely took over by tablets(to be more accurate, it took over by Apple's iPad last year and many new Android Tablets this year). Almost every big name released their Android tablets, so year 2011, a crucial year that determine whether tablet will go to every customer's home or disappeared without a trace in a couple of years. And will it be the beginning the nightmare of netbooks? I guess every one has their own opinion, as tablets are thriving and netbooks is struggling to keep even expanding its market. So how would customer choose which side they are on? Whether they will decide to buy a tablet or a netbook, or maybe both?

The key advantage for netbook is the price, before, now or in the future, it always should be. From the first generation of 7 inch netbook, it was around $300, plus its tiny size compare to a normal laptop, so when it came out it brought lots of attention, and almost every big company had their own netbooks and kept upgrading, from screen, CPU, hardware to improve its performance, and finally, it made 10 inch screen, Intel ATOM CPU as a netbook standard. Why 10 inch? 10 inch is the balance point of portability and performance, it has both visibility and easy to carry around. More importantly, the price is always kept as low as beforeit doesn't matter how fast CPU upgraded into, the price is always around $300 to $500, and this is usually half the price of a laptop although from the performance side merely any netbook could compare to a laptopapart from Macbook Air if you consider it as a netbook as it's 11 inch), but surf on the internet, handle some words, writing e-mails are capable enough.
