The netherland dwaft is the smallest of its kind and is considered as the most popular rabbit. It comes in 36 varieties and weighs about 2 to 2 lbs. They are all cute and lovable. Like any rabbit that you decide to care for you need to be aware of the upkeep to keep this pet inside your home.

I always wanted to have a pair of this breed in my home. I recently bought a couple from a pet shop nearby and prepared myself for netherland dwarf rabbit care. I did that by buying a comprehensive guide from the pet shop and by researching online. It was highly recommended to have a guide so that I am aware how to care for them and what is needed to make sure they are well fed.

Rabbits are not toys and taking care of them requires commitment. Therefore, I made sure that I am ready for the task before I bought them. I find them lovable; however, I should also teach them how to love me.

My netherland dwaft rabbits are fun to be with because of their friendly and happy nature. I personally enjoy grooming them because their glossy and soft hair feels good to the touch. Grooming them should only be done a few times in a week. We do not need to do it everyday because they usually groom themselves. They don't have bad smell either. On the contrary, their droppings do, which is why I bought a special cage for them with a plastic tray at the bottom to catch their droppings. It can easily be cleaned because it's movable.

I got them sterilized to lessen the risk of developing behavioral problems, which often occurs as they approach the breeding stage. Not only will it develop agreeable attitude in them, but the process will also make them enjoy a lot of health benefits.

I am very careful of their diet because if they get sick, they may pass away quickly. Sometimes, taking care of them demands careful attention to details. There are dos and don'ts and we should be aware of those.
