Security management is a set of defined processes and it is mainly done to protect a network from unauthorized access and taking care of all kinds of sub-functions that mainly include the authorization of access to subscribers, intact control on the distribution of cryptographic keying material and events related with reporting of security measures.

Configuration management is next a very important concern in network management. It refers to both aspects of quality and security of network security management. It is mainly dominated by introducing the management of security activities in a network by controlling undesirable changes that suddenly happened to the software, firmware, hardware, documentation and testing features in a networking system.
