Network Marketing Business: How To Rid Of Rejections
You hate rejections and you are fed up of hearing the word "No".
If you are feeling down right now you are not alone. They are literally thousands of people out there in your same niche industry who hate prospecting and would do anything to be able to grow their team without having to face resistance and rejection anymore.
But the reality is that prospecting in a network marketing business is tough and it can be downright frustrating when you are getting all the negative response at every turn. Basically, the MLM industry has not changed since its inception in the 70s. The prospecting methods might have changed but you still need to bring in new members to build your network. Some will stay focus on the job but many may feel rejected and might not be motivated to stay on to the business if they keep receiving the cold shoulders.
But how can you get over this major obstacle by turning that "No" into a "Yes"?
Stay focus
Getting rejection all the time can be dampening to your spirits and kills enthusiasm. It is important that you seek the advice of your sponsor on how to go around it. Getting help early in your new career would help you to get over this psychological hurdle as quickly as possible before you can move on to bigger things. Best of all try to learn from the experience and stay focus on doing the right prospecting ways and you will receive more "Yes" than "No" from now on.
Do not take rejection personally
When you are first starting out everyone would take it very badly when they got rejected from someone. They might think that they are useless and felt ashamed. It is hard to ignore the humiliation initially but with proper and adequate training and counselling you get from your up-line, this initial discomfort should pass. Do not blame the MLM business though for the rejections. Could it be your style of presentations, your personality or is it compensation plan that you have not explained to your prospect in a more convincing way?
Be persistent
You cannot please everyone all the time but you must be consistent in your following up with all your prospects. They may be not your members yet, but being persistent helps. Most people would not join your network at first contact.Your job is to educate them and feed them with all the information you could on your business opportunity to make them interested and be serious about their new business venture.
Have the right mentality
Like in every kind of business venture, getting rejection is the norm. Being proactive, we can learn from our mistakes and take the initiative to change ourselves. Perhaps the way you do your prospecting are now obsolete, like instead of cold-calling for people and making appointments to meet them, you can now use internet marketing which you need not have to make physical contact with anyone anymore when you do your prospecting.
Think for a while. MLM business is about numbers. You cannot or quite impossible to turn everyone you met into a member. Look at the Law of Large Numbers and you know that the more people you approached the more chance you will find someone who will join your network. If the probability of someone becoming your member is one percent in your MLM business industry, it means you have to prospects at least 100 person just to get one recruit.
If you have the statistics, you will be well prepared for the job ahead and you would not have to suffer from the mental anguish and disillusion that your new business ventures brings.
