Have you tried starting a home business before only to fail miserably? If you have you are not alone. The sad reality is that even though it is not difficult to succeed in a home business, most people fail. The vast majority of people fail because in addition to their business, they have job and after the initial effort is put forth, they do not feel it necessary to pursue it any further because it did not pay off in the way that they expected. They end up putting their home business on the back burner and forgetting about it.

Individuals who take this route, typically leave with a bad taste in their mouth, assuming that the industry itself has some sort of flaw. Friends, the reality is this. If you want to start a successful home business, you are going to have to have a long-term vision, especially if your home business is centered around the network marketing business model.

The reason is not that network marketing is difficult, or it takes too long to succeed. The reason is because the multilevel structure in a network marketing opportunity. Typically there is not a lot of money paid out to the individual product because the product is paying multiple people on multiple levels. The fact that most network marketing companies are centered around a product that people purchase monthly means that one can earn this money month after month.

Here's where network marketing is powerful. Let's say that you were to spend 10 hours a week promoting your network marketing business using online strategies. Usually there's a fast start bonus on the front end which is better than the residual income that you will earn month-to-month on individual products. We will not consider any fast start bonus for this example. Let's say that working 10 hours a week your first month, you only made $10 in residual income. That really stinks when you consider that you have worked 40 hours.

Let's pretend that next month you did the same thing and this time you earned $20 in residual income and have a small but growing team. Now you have put in 80 hours of work and you have only made $30. You might be thinking by this point-what a rip off...

The next month let's say you did the same exact thing and earned $40, next month $80, the next month $160, the next month $320, the next month $640, the next month $1280, the next month $2560, the next month $5120, the next month $10,240 and finally a month 12 you would earn $20,480. In the beginning you had to put in a lot more work for a little amount of money but thanks to residual income you have experienced the magic of compound. That is the power of network marketing. You're right, when you first start out you will not be making near as much as the effort that you are putting into it, but keep in mind that the structure which pays on multiple levels is allowing you to use the power of leverage to build real wealth.

There is not a job on the planet that boasts the kind enough income potential that we see in network marketing unless of course you are the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. If you are fortunate enough to be the CEO of such a company, chances are you would not be reading this article.
