Network Marketing System - Don't Get Burned On Old Marketing Techniques
Let me see with a raise of hands if you were told to grow your Network Marketing
business using the 3 foot rule, hanging flyers, bugging your family and friends from you 100 names list, and holding hotel meetings. You look down your list of F.R.A.N.K. (Friends, Relatives, Associates, Neighbors, and Kid's parents) and still can't get the growth necessary to move to it full time. What is the deal with the 100 names? Ask any of your upline and you would be very fortunate to be able to close more than 10% of the people you target. Most only sponsor less than 3 associates in their Network Marketing career. Is this your goal?
I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money. I was taught to be a master of setting interviews to get people in front of 100% of the information.
I was only faced with questions I wasn't able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with constant rejection. They told you it was a business of "sharing" and not "selling" yet how come no one is interested? Maybe because people don't want to be SOLD. The small handful of people you do sponsor don't come close to repeating your offline success. The constant meetings and consistent no shows start to wear thin on you.
When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, my upline told me that I didn't have a strong enough "why" for the business. If my "why" was strong enough, I would eventually be successful. My "why" was strong but my "HOW" was non-existent. My "why" pushed me to find out if there was something out there that could help me build my business. I finally did find out "how" to build my business outside of conventional means.
The "HOW" is a marketing system. There are many out there. Many claim they can increase your hits and drive massive traffic to your Network Marketing website.
Now, is this traffic you really want? Is this "targeted" traffic you can actually use? People confuse a lead as something that is automatically useful. No, not all leads are considered equal. Driving "targeted" leads with a network marketing system that draws your target audience to a site where they can sign up for more information is the goal. You want to "target" prospects because it will help you help them with their specific needs. Your new prospect wants to grow their Network Marketing business online, but you shouldn't assume they have the same problems as you. Each prospect is unique and building your marketing program around your prospect's needs versus your own will greatly increase your sales conversion.
Your marketing system shouldn't require thousands of dollars to operate. The idea is repeatability. Follow one that is generic enough to use and won't interfere with your current home business. Automated sales and information capturing should only be part of the marketing system. The total system should help a distributor attract, capture, and provide service.
