New 2010 Traffic Crash Data For Genesee County Michigan And Surrounding Cities.

. We want all Flint residents to be aware of newly released 2010 Traffic Crash Data from the Michigan Department of State Police in conjunction with the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning. These reports highlight crash data for every Michigan county detailing the types of roads where accidents occur.

Genesee County saw a slight 3% decrease in total traffic crashes in 2010 vs 2009, with about 67% of all crashes occurring on local roads. Yet the number of fatal crashes went up from 33 in 2009 to 41 in 2010, a 24 percent increase in just one year.

Of the 10,540 crashes in Genesee County in 2010, one third occurred in the city of Flint, followed by Flint Township with 12% and Grand Blanc Township with 6% of total crashes.
