New ASUS B-series Laptops to Feature Sonata Battery

ASUS have just announced the release of their new B series laptops

, complete with Boston-Power's long-life Lithium Sonata batteries(laptop batteries). Previously, consumers who wanted these great batteries had to go with a HP laptop, however, with the B43 and B53 about to hit the shelves, more people are going to get access to this fantastic lithium-ion technology.

The B43 features a 14.1 inch screen, with a choice of Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processors, ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 or integrated Intel graphics, and other options relating to RAM and hard drive size. The B53 is similar in most ways, except it is sporting a bigger 15.6 inch screen. Both models are able to support ATI Eyefinity, a new technology developed to accommodate up to two additional displays.

While all of these specs are rather enticing on their own, the big news with the ASUS B43 and B53 is their support for Boston-Power Sonata batteries(asus laptop batteries). The Sonata is a next generation lithium-ion battery that is longer lasting, faster charging, and more environmentally friendly than any other laptop battery we have seen before. People are demanding more and more from their mobile computers all the time, and hopefully this technology will be able to keep up with consumer expectations.

Boston-Power have developed their take on lithium-ion technology designing hybrid cars and battery powered vehicles, and while your new ASUS B-series laptop wont drive you to the shops, it may be all charged-up by the time you get back. Promising to work at up to 80% of capacity for three years, this technology is also much more friendly on your pocket and better to the planet.

The ASUS B53 laptop is pretty much ready to go, and will retail at its most basic configuration for $1099. The B43 will obviously be cheaper, but its price is as yet unspecified.
