New Clothing Designers to Please Your Little Boys

The first rule to bear in mind when shopping for designer boys clothing is that they really do prefer jeans and t-shirts, or at least something similar, something easy to get into and out of, and something that will allow them to run around and have fun and stay active, because there's really no hope in getting boys to sit still, even if they are wearing their finest clothes.

Style is another consideration when thinking about boy's clothes. Girls can be a little more flexible in terms of style. Girls can go anywhere from tomboy to summer dress to Sunday clothes, but boys are really only looking for something that's cool, something like a long sleeve print tee or a flannel shirt.

When it comes to getting your boys to wear scarves, overcoats and dress clothing, the trick is all in the color. A boy will wear a scarf in a cool black and white pattern or a solid red, but don't even dream of trying to get them to wrap up in delicate patterns or wilder color combinations. When in doubt, falling back on gray tones is never a bad idea.

If you insist on putting your boy in dress shoes, bring some sneakers with you wherever you're going. Any self respecting boy under the age of ten is going to zero in on the nearest tree and try to climb it. They can do this in a pair of expensive dress shoes, or they can do it in a cheap pair of running shoes, it's your call.

If you're lucky, you can get a kid to actually love his designer clothes but it will involve compromise. The trick is to let the boy be involved in the shopping process. If you allow him to pick out one or two items he likes, then you can select the rest of the outfit to surround that item. So, say he chooses a cool long sleeve tee, you can pick out a coat, pants and shoes to go with it.

The truth is that getting boys to care about how they look is just as difficult as getting full grown men to care about how they look. T-shirts featuring their favorite superheroes and torn jeans remain pretty much the uniform of the male gender from birth to death. But, by providing them with just the right nudge in the proper direction, you may be surprised what you can accomplish.
