, improper maintenance, and natural factors such as machinery parts wear, corrosion, cavitations and other factors. While, the former can be avoided, the latter cannot. If we know clearly the causes of machine trouble, understand the damage regulations and take measures timely from design, manufacturing to running and maintenance, we can reduce damage and prolong service time.

As for gyratory crusher, the spindle is key part, which consists of cone with cone lining. There are many broken shaft accidents happened due to various reasons. Statics shows that over 20 accidents happened in Anshan mining company since production, among of which, more than 90% broken areas are in threading insert relief notch. F steel factory has 1,200 sets crushers and two spindle broken accidents happened. And there are also other factories occurred the similar accidents.
Reason and solutions: In terms of design and manufacturing, relief notch is too deep and transition round corner is small. In the relief notch area, the requirement of round corner surface is not strictly. Based on these factors, we should take following measures: enlarge the transition round corner, increase relief notch and we can also improve the spindle structure design.
How to avoid mining machinery aging
After long service, the crusher will generally lose its work performance due to damage, out of shape, corrosion, cavition, loosen of components or other factors. As a result, crusher technology situation becomes worse and the operation abnormal or even cant work. We call it crusher machine trouble. (1) Watch out for crusher operation situation. For example, we can check if the tooth gear meshes, or the sound of broken is normal. If abnormal, measures should be taken timely.
(2) Guarantee the size of ore should not exceed 80%~85% width of feed port. Besides, we should feed ore evenly to avoid metal block entry into crushing chamber.
(3) Pay attention to discharging port and convey condition at any time.
(4) Observe if the hydraulic spring, cooler, filling gauge and filter operation is normal. Check oil temperature and oil pressure. When passed through cooler, the oil temperature should below 60 degree, and be controlled the range of 45 to 56 degree.
(5) Add grease at regular time into pendulum device and gear bearing.
(6) Check regularly the beam, center shaft and frame. And check the wear and loosen condition of crushing liner. Deal with it once discovered.
(7) Adjust the discharging port. Observe the product particle size, if there being coarse particle size that indicates that the liner wears and the discharging port becomes larger. We should adjust the port timely to meet the particle size requirements.
