New Era in Goa Tourism

Goa Tourism has a different history and it inherits somewhat different culture to

the foreign visitors in comparison to the other tourists' spot of the country. This is the consequential influence of 450 years Portuguese rule. Churches like the Bom Jesus Cathedral and Temples are the famous places in Goa but the Beaches are the main attractions.

God has given Goa tourism to enjoy the splendid climate of two verities season's summer and winter. Winter is mainly for tourists from abroad especially from Europe and in summer tourists come from across India to make their holidays memorable. If you never been to Goa then you cannot imagine Gods creativity.

But it's a matter of great concern that it has been reported that tourists from abroad are coming less each year, still the figure is not less than two million of which four lakh were from abroad last year, this statistic is according to Goa tourism.

When we are talking about Goa tourism, so we should not ignore the fact that it has two world heritage sites: the Bom Jesus Basilica and of course the designated convents. Basilica known as it holds the mortal of St. Francis Xavier therefore many Catholics respects as the Goa's Patron Saint. After every twelve years the body is taken for public show. The forts of Goa also not less important for tourists, they never forget to visit them, remember able forts are- Cabo de Rama, Chapora, Corjuem, Tiracol and Aguada etc.

The Indo-Portuguese style architecture and Goa-Portuguese style architecture like the Velhas Conquistas are available in many parts of Goa but the condition of this remarkable architecture is on its last legs. This is may be one the possible reason for less reports of tourist in Goa tourism. Another important notable thing is that old temples and architectures are demolished and reconstructed into Indian style.

Goa tourism authority should jealously guard the tourist attractions of Goa, if not then the day will not far that people will forget Goa and India will loss a huge amount of income and we will loss God's favor.
