Gameplay is as expected, with eight go-karts battling it out on a series of both new and old tracks for the title of fastest racer! To keep the pack tight, the wicked Blue Shell made a comeback and threatens to wipe out whoever is first at any stage of the race.

More than eight players can participate in the race if they are connected by a wire network, so Nintendo DS parties are now really possible! This doubles the number of people that can play on multiplayer on any previous Nintendo console.
