Honda City was launched way back in 1981 in Japan as a hatchback car. The company stopped the production in 1994 without a replacement. In 1996, Honda revived the model name Honda City for the sedan which was particularly targeted at the developing nations and was introduced in India in 1998. On September 2008, company launched the new third generation Honda City with some additional features and equipped with key features such as arrow-shot form body design, spacious cabin, and good fuel economy.

Honda City gives some unique performance features such as Intelligent VTEC engine, paddle shift and is available with manual / automatic transmission. The sedan is designed with stunning exterior features like dual horn, halogen headlights, body colored bumper, and rear fender cover. Honda City is fitted with useful interior features which include front cup holder, steering mounted audio control and AC with heater. Also loaded with advanced safety features such as G-Force control technology (G-CON), ABS with BA, dual SRS airbags, and immobilizer.

Honda City is only available in petrol version. Honda City gives the mileage of 16.5 km/l with manual transmission and 16.1 km/l with automatic transmission.
