New Infiniti Cars: Infiniti Performance Line

In May, it was discovered that Infiniti filed for trademarks for both "Infiniti Performance Line" and "IPL" terms

. The new Infiniti cars possibly coming to your Infiniti in Washington upon their release, will focus on downsizing the engines while maintaining or improving power outputs. This allows the Infinitibrand ofcars to compete with the new fuel economy regulations coming in the future, through the use of more high-performance parts, including upgrades on everything from turbo charges for engines, suspension parts, air filters, cat-back exhaust and muffler systems, sports seating, improved brakes, off-road headlights and shifter knobs.

Upgrading and improving performance in vehicles is something that most car brands do eventually, as a powerful marketing strategy that allows them to continue to compete in the market. The Japanese luxury cars came into the scene of "high performance lines" a little later than most. We assume the approach to this new Infiniti performance line will be similar to Lexus and their recent launch of the F-Sport performance line, and similar to Cadillac's V-Series or to the BMW M lineup of cars. The high performance upgrades for the Infiniti brand will be fitted into the Infiniti G37 coupe.

Infiniti mentioned that the high performance line would be revealed at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California in August. The Concours meets once each year and featured 175 of collector cars and motorcycles from around the world to compete. The vehicles do not compete in speed races, but are judged on excellence in accuracy, merit and style.
