An online associate degree will qualify a candidate to sit for the Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) certification, along with a required number of training hours and other certification requirements.

In the diagnosis field, there are many online degree programs that will enable a graduate to prepare for a career in a diagnosis area, like ultrasound technician. In order to become an ultrasound technician, a student must first complete a two-year associate degree in a health care related field, like medical assisting or health information technology. Both of these degrees are available from online schools. Once a person completes a two-year AAS degree from an online school, they can then enroll in a clinical program that will allow them to take the certification test to become an ultrasound technician.

Some students are eager to work with patients in their care and treatment of acute illness or disease. These students may want to think about enrolling in an online nursing degree program, or medical assisting. While many health care jobs do require clinical training, the online portion of your degree that focuses on academics can all be completed from the comfort of your home. In the area of health administration, there are numerous degree programs that will help a graduate enter this growing field. A health care administrator manages and supervises the health care services and programs that are provided by a health care organization like a hospital. Health care administration degrees can be attained from accredited online schools at the associate, bachelor, and graduate level, with specialties within each degree program like health information management that specializes in computers, billing, and health services administration.
