New Maruti SX4-Key attraction at Guangzhou Motor Show

Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki Motors for the first time exhibited their all new Maruti SX4 sedan at the ongoing Guangzhou Motor Show. New Maruti SX4 have completely modified looks which is gathering a lot of admirer Although company had not mentioned any major change in the New Maruti SX4 engine but its looks are completely fresh. Major modification are in headlamps having dark background, newly designed front and rear bumpers, fog lights and grille which gives a sporty look to this car. Smart key and built in music player with SD-card option is also adding extra feature to this car. According to reports this all new Maruti SX4 is a joint effort of Volkswagen and Suzuki. This model will be available in disel engine and is expected to be launched in the initial months of new year. According to domestic car market report Maruti had sold more than one lac cars in last two months and enjoy a large share in the Indian auto market. Maruti has got maximum sells from cars such as Maruti Alto, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Swift, Maruti A-Star, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Zen Estilo. So it can be easily determined that Maruti is maintaining its dominance in small car segment. But now as the world is becoming a globel market and all auto giants are entering in Indian auto market with their models it is becoming difficult for Maruti to maintain its position. Car in small segment like as Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo and Volkswagen Polo are gaining attention day by day and also building strong position in Indian auto market. This is further supported by statics of sales. The sales of Maruti is dropped by more than 2%in April-November, 2010 from the previous year. And if reports are to be believed this sales graph will further slide down as Toyota will launch Toyota Etios Liva in April, 2011 and Honda is also ready to launch Honda Brio to challenge Maruti's dominance in Indian auto market. This whole scene is beneficial from the buyers perspective as more good quality cars will be availble in market with easily affordable prices. So it will not be a surprise if some of the auto giants review their price list in the coming year to draw attention of buyers.
