Cars 2 Disney is the sequel of the Pixar animated movie Cars released in 2006. This is the first movie made by Pixar to ever develop a sequel other than Toy story. The film expands the planet of Cars as it introduces characters from other counties as well as different locations around its fictional planet.

The Cars 2 Pixar story mainly focuses on Tow Mater, the rusting tow truck that went on to turn out to be Lightning McQueen's best buddy in the first film, and his antics as he is accidentally thrust into the world of espionage and intrigue. In the promotional event before the first race in Tokyo, MCMissile and colleague Holly Shiftwell was suppose to meet with an american informant Torque Redline. Sadly, Torque is cornered in the rest room by Proffers Zundapp's men and as a last vacation resort passes the info to an unsuspecting Mater. McMissile and Shiftwell mistake Mater as the agent and there begins Mater's adventure close to the planet trying to stop the plot to sabotage the globe Grand Prix, save Lightning McQueen from being killed, and stop the bad guys from destroying the globe's confidence in alternative fuel, all the while discovering who he is and how he is perceived by everyone close to him and accepting who he is in time to save not only his best good friend but the future of alternative fuel.

The motion picture introduces various vehicles which consists of, watercraft, ships, and planes, all of which an integral part in the planet of Cars. It is also introduced how cars work together with their globe through the exploits of McMissile and the use of his high-tech spy devices.
