New Sofitel Hotel In Abu Dhabi Ideal For Travellers Interested In Cultural Abu Dhabi Holidays

Robert Gaymer-Jones, Sofitel Worldwide Chief Executive, stated, in addition to its strategic location in Abu Dhabi, its design based on contemporary art with some well-known French artists has ensured that this establishment is totally in line with the country strategic positioning underscoring the fact that hotel is a precious asset not only for Sofitel but for the Middle East.

The art-inspired French hotel is a reflection of the current push towards developing tourist attractions that can satisfy the cultural appetites of curious and inquisitive travellers taking holidays in Abu Dhabi. Not too long ago, the UAE caught the worlds attention when it announced plans to build local branches of two of the worlds most famous museums the Louvre and Guggenheim scheduled to open in 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Notably, in February authorities announced the newly formed tourism authority the Abu Dhabi Authority for Tourism and Culture replacing the previously autonomous Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. The decision, which may be in recognition of the importance of cultural Abu Dhabi holidays to the citys tourism industry means that they newly formed authority, is responsible for, plan[ing] and implement programmes for archaeological explorations and the establishment and development of museums.
