New Trend in Article Marketing

The traditional form of article marketing has some factors that every one using this technique is aware of. These factors include conversion rates, click through rates, unique visitors ... etc. Thanks to the recent changes in Google algorithms there is a new factor that has to be added to the list above. This new factor is called: quality.

In the past the only purpose of any article submitted by a marketers is to drive traffic to a certain web page, either directly or by getting the link juice that helps with the page rank and consequently gets the target web page the organic search engine traffic. In ver few cases the article marketers try to provide some original value in their articles. Actually most of the time the marketer or the website owner prefers to put the original content on their own website, and just use a re-written copy to publish in article directories for promotional purposes.

Those days are over in about 12% of the cases according to Google. This could be a horrible news to a large sector of article marketers, especially for the affiliates who use article directories as a method to arbitrage their time with traffic to their affiliate links.

This is also a great news for the new breed of marketers who always make sure they provide high value in everything they do, including writing articles. The road is now less crowded, especially that article directories are also taking steps towards ensuring uniqueness and high quality of the articles they approve.

There are three ways, according to Google, to make sure your article gets indexed in search engines and rank for the keyword you are trying to target. Actually they are three forms of content to be more precise. These three forms are:

1. Research articles: in which the authors treat every article the same way they treat a thesis or a school assignment. The information included in a good article doesn't have to be totally new, but the gathering of information from different sources in one article is new and unique.

2. Commentary and opinions: Certainly your opinion is something unique because there is only one of "you", but it's not enough. Your opinion on a certain subject needs to be supported by analysis and reasoning.

3. Story telling: and this is by far is the best way to communicate with your readers and get them to do what you want them to. Stories are the easiest to remember, and the evidence is the thousands of stories that survived hundreds of generations and are still being told until today without the need to have them written or recorded in any form except the memories of those who heard the stories and carried them with them.

If your article falls within one of the above categories you're not only pleasing the search engines to send you traffic, but also you'll have a better chance of having your audience clicking through your link to visit your website.

Now it's time for hard workers to dominate and for copycats to retire.
