The new Zafira has more room and is better to drive than most of its rivals, as it is targeted at the family market it comes with lots of airbags as standard and now also comes with Vauxhall's lifetime warranty.
The Vauxhall Zafira comes with a few engine choices including diesels and Vauxhall's Ecoflex variants. The 1.7 litre diesel Ecoflex engine produces 108 bhp making it quite nippy and fun to drive. For those looking for a bit more punch but are also conscious about their MPG the punchy 1.9 diesels, which have either 118bhp or 148bhp would be a better choice.
The Zafira handles very neatly for an MPV - body control is tight, and strong grip and direct steering mean you can also have a bit of fun with it around corners. The drawback of a firm suspension is that it is not as comfortable as you would expect for a family orientated car.
