It is the city that never sleeps and it is the home of some of the more pricey real estate in country today. There are normal everyday apartments in Manhattan that cost more than some of the mansions in places like Georgia cost. A good portion of that is because people are willing to pay a premium for the ability to live in a city that is as diverse and busy as New York City, the place where a square inch of property costs as much as multiple square feet in other places in the country.
