Nfl Tickets - Sleeper Wideouts
These are wide receivers that could provide fantasy owners with good value in their drafts this season:
Pierre Garcon, Indianapolis Colts: Anybody that watched the Colts in the postseason saw that it was Garcon, not Reggie Wayne, who was Peyton Manning's go-to guy. While I don't necessarily expect that to completely carry over into 2010, I do think Garcon has a real shot at a 1,000-yard season. The Colts have a lot of weapons, but I think Garcon is one that they're really excited about.
Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles: While Kevin Kolb will certainly look DeSean Jackson's way for big plays, I think Maclin will end up being a more reliable target for the young signal caller. Maclin has good size and speed for the position and has the pedigree to develop into a legitimate number one wideout. Don't expect him to out-produce Jackson just yet, but it's on the horizon.
Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants: While Steve Smith is Eli Manning's most reliable target, Nicks has a lot of potential for a big 2010 season. He fared very well for a rookie receiver in 2009 and has the big play ability to complement Smith well. He's a bit injury prone, but has major upside.
Terrell Owens, Cincinnati Bengals: I think T.O., not Chad Ochocinco, will be Carson Palmer's main target in 2010. Palmer has shown signs of developing real chemistry with the future Hall-of-Famer this preseason and their relationship should only improve as we get into the regular season. Owens scored double-digit touchdowns just two years ago and could be in for another big season. He could provide great value in fantasy drafts.
Dwyane Bowe, Kansas City Chiefs: Bowe has had some conditioning issues in the past, but word is that he's out to prove himself this season. I think the KC offense will be much improved under Charlie Weis and Bowe could be the one to benefit most from it. He's got elite physical ability and 2010 could be the season we see him put it to good use.
Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers: Wallace has a knack for making the kind of big plays that sell NFL tickets. He thrived as the team's third receiver as a rookie, and could be in for a big year as the Steelers' number two in 2010. The first few weeks of the season could be rough, but once Ben Roethlisberger returns Wallace could end up being a steal.
Johnny Knox, Chicago Bears: It looks as though quarterback Jay Cutler has gotten especially comfortable with Knox. Knox has elite speed, which should go well with Cutler's cannon for an arm. It's hard to predict just what will happen in Chi-town this season, but the upside for production is there.
Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys: He might start the season off slowly due to his injury, but I think he'll be a big part of a potent Dallas passing attack by midseason. He could end up being a huge factor come fantasy playoff time, which is always something to consider.
Percy Harvin, Minnesota Vikings: The migraine issues are scary, but his upside outweighs those concerns. With Sidney Rice potentially out for the first half of the season, Harvin could end up being Brett Favre's number one target.
Malcolm Floyd, San Diego Chargers: It doesn't look like the Bolts are going to budge concerning the Vincent Jackson holdout, so Floyd could end up being the team's number one receiver for the foreseeable future. He's looked good this preseason, which isn't helping Jackson's case.
Mohammed Massaquoi, Cleveland Browns: Jake Delhomme actually looks pretty good right now, which bodes well for Massaquoi. The most talented receiver on the Cleveland roster, Massaquoi has a lot of upside for a guy you can get late in drafts.
Mile Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: All this guy has done since coming to camp is make plays. He should open up the season as Tampa's number one receiver and has the potential to post an impressive rookie campaign.
Jabar Gaffney, Denver Broncos: Who is going to replace the bulk of Brandon Marshall's production this season? My answer would be Gaffney, who has good hands and knows how to run routes. He's been Kyle Orton's preferred target thus far this preseason and I think Gaffney will end up being a steal in the late rounds.
