Nfl Tickets - Teams Making History With Undefeated Runs

Who will fall first? That is the question on the minds of many following the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts

. After Week Nine, both are the only two teams left with undefeated records. Week Nine play had both struggling to keep their undefeated statuses, but the two teams showed their resilience and pulled out wins. The Saints topped the Carolina Panthers 30-20 while the Colts beat the Houston Texans 20-17. It is teams like this that make NFL tickets hot commodities, and fans can get theirs online.

Week Nine also broke records for the Colts and the Saints. For the Saints, their 8-0 record is the best start ever for the 43-year-old franchise. What the game against the Panthers showed is that the team has top-notch talent at nearly every position, and when one position fails, another steps up to fill in the gaps. The Saints have also made a reputation as come-from-behind specialists. That talent was on display again against the Panthers, as the Saints were behind two touchdowns by the end of the first quarter. In fact, they had only tallied two field goals by the time the half ended.

The second half saw the Saints hit their stride, as they tied the game at 20 by the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter saw 10 unanswered points by the Saints, including a score by defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove when he ran back a fumble recovery. Despite not tallying a single interception, the Saints' defense stood out as a large part of the team's success, as they held the Panthers to a mere field goal for the entire second half. Roman Harper and Jonathan Vilma led the defense with 12 tackles apiece. Tracy Porter had the most forced fumbles with two while Will Smith led the team in sacks with two.

The Colts broke a different kind of record with their effort versus the Texans. Star quarterback Peyton Manning became the first quarterback in a decade to surpass the 40,000 total yard mark. His effort against the Texans also moved him up the career-wins for a quarterback list, tying for fourth with Fran Tarkenton with 125. Manning is chasing nearly every record for quarterbacks, as he is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the league. Against the Texans, Manning was 34-of-50 for 318 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Colts fans were likely on edge at the end of the game against the Texans, as Houston kicker Kris Brown attempted a field goal in the final moments only to miss the 42-yard attempt. A completion would have tied the game and sent it into overtime. The Colts took an early lead in the game, scoring a touchdown and two field goals before the Texans got on the board before the half. The Texans had the only touchdown in the third quarter, and then took the lead in the fourth quarter with another touchdown. Joseph Addai finally gave the Colts their winning score with a two-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter.
