There will be hardly any tough role in the act of real life than that of a single mother

. In todays date when rates of all the basic requirements of life are touching the sky limits, if a single mother is not financially very well settled, then rising up all her family alone can be a herculean task for her. This is the point of time when the various programs that are designed to provide support for single mothers come to their rescue.

With our advancements in science and development of infrastructure facilities, our society has also progressed in the development of social service schemes. There are a number of schemes that execute various social services for underprivileged citizens of society, including the programs that give support for single mothers. The major ray of hope for these single mothers is the establishment and constructive work by a number of Non- governmental organizations. There are thousands of Non- governmental organizations all over the world that are working with a lot of dedication to provide support for single mothers.

The major problem of single mothers is the establishment of continuous earning source to provide financially strong base for their family. A number of NGOs are working for the purpose of self development of single mothers wherein they provide employment for single mothers. These programs give support for single mothers in terms of employment and at the same time boost up their confidence level by making them self sustainable. This confidence plays a very important role when you are struggling at all the ends being a single mother.

Other important issues where NGOs generate support for single mothers are the provision of meals and provision of education for their children. Normally NGOs work on the pay roll giving model, in which an employee of a particular company is expected to donate his one days salary for the betterment of single mothers and their families. This collected amount is then utilized for the provision of daily meals and education of children of single mothers. Some of the Non- governmental organizations run a community centre where most of the underprivileged factors of our society, including the single mothers, can find an affordable shelter. The schemes at such community centers are very cost effective and are developed with a view of providing support for single mothers.

No doubt that the responsibility of a single mother is very tough one, but one has to remember that when there is a will, there is a way!
