NI-C78SR Almost the Perfect Iron

I like nearly everything about this NI-C78SR iron but think it could have been designed a little better so there would not be a button which annoyingly hits my right index finger as I iron. The button is just where I rest my hand so I have to relearn how to hold an iron after 45+ years of ironing. I like the way the iron works and like the retractable cord. The on/off dial is a little difficult to reach and also the filling is a little bit harder than some irons, but not a big deal. All in all, I am pleased with the iron but wish the ergonomics had been better worked out.
NI-C78SR Very Good for $35

I bought this NI-C78SR iron a week after purchasing a very poorly designed Black & Decker steam iron that I hated. For roughly the same price, this Panasonic iron is much more satisfying. The iron heats up quickly and generates lots of steam. I wish the water tank was larger, because I use the steam button pretty aggressively and I can run the tank down after ironing just two items. The retractable cord works very well and which will prevent this NI-C78SR from being pulled down on to my daughter's head. The chart listing the settings for different fabric types in on the bottom for some reason, but I can live with that. This NI-C78SR iron isn't perfect but I'm happy with my purchase.

Maybe I've just owned a bunch of junky irons in my 39 years, but I am very impressed with this NI-C78SR iron. It has a good weight - not too light...awesome steam...a removable water reservoir, which saves a step and keeps me from having to keep track of a cup to fill it with. I love the self retracting cord. The price almost seemed a little low and I had concerns about the quality BEFORE I bought NI-C78SR. Now I think I got a great deal! I am very pleased with my purchase and hope to have this iron for many years.
