For the online realtor, Facebook and MySpace have become valuable networking tools

connecting people through the Internet and creating masters of niches getting thousands and even millions to take notice of who you are.

Social media has created a community of not only professionals but those seeking their services. Real estate and social media today now go hand and hand. For the successful realtor that utilizes social media they can become the master of their niche increasing their everyday business a tremendous amount. Social media provides the opportunity to show and say who you are through videos, forums, blogs and Q & A forums where people get to know you and ask questions. There are millions of members to social media and the idea for the professional realtor is to get noticed through social media.

There is no reason to think you must be an Internet guru in order to create a niche network. This is simply done by becoming a member to a social networking site. The key is to become the master of your niche. The key in starting is to provide those searching for information in your area of expertise informative and interesting information. If you are selling homes in Dallas Texas then by all means start a Facebook group or your own message board about the area. Whatever you do, allow people to know that you are the master in the niche and that they can ask questions.

Include information on the schools in the area, the employment market, the housing market when dealing in the area, the weather, everything and anything that makes you the master. Information must be relevant and up to date. Address both the buyer and the seller with information that they will find beneficial.

Let your past clients that you have had a good report with know about the site. Often times they may want to post a positive message about you. Also, many are interested in knowing where they can find the latest information such as a new mall being built in the area.

You will find that people will come to your site for information only. And, your name begins to become engraved in their memory bank. When it is time for them to buy or sell you will be the first name they consider. Popularity is success and with social media this popularity is making realtors more successful than ever.
