Nirma Universitys Innovative Academic Programs
Founded in the year 1994, Nirma University is one of the reputed private universities in India offering excellent programs in higher learning
. The university offers a range of courses in management studies, engineering and technology, pure sciences and pharmacy to name a few. The Government of Gujarat is established this university under the Act No. 10. University Grants Commission also recognized this university.
The Faculties and Institutes under the respective faculty are given below:
Faculty of Technology and Engineering: Under this faculty, there are two institutes offering courses in engineering and technology.
oInstitute of Technology: This institute offers bachelor and post graduate courses in technology. Courses available in Nirma University are Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Instrumentation & Control Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. In the masters level, there are specialization available includes Environmental Process Design, Computer Aided Structural Analysis & Design, Power Electronics, Machines & Drives, Thermal Engineering, Computer Integrated Manufacturing et al.
oInstitute of Diploma Studies: This institute offers diploma programs in various branches of engineering like Chemical, mechanical, Electrical, Plastic and Computer Engineering.
Faculty of Management
Under the faculty of management, the university offers part time and full time courses. The institute of management offers Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration with specialization in Family Business & Entrepreneurship. This faculty also has Doctor of Philosophy. Other executive diploma courses available here are Marketing, Finance, International Business, Operations Management and Human Resource Management.
Faculty of Pharmacy
The faculty of Pharmacy offers Bachelors of Pharmacy and Masters of Pharmacy. The Masters of Pharmacy has specialization in Drug Discovery, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Two more specialization is also available in the postgraduate levels that are Phytopharmaceuticals & Natural Products, and Pharmaceutical Technology & Bio-Pharmaceutics.
Faculty of Science
The science faculty in Nirma University offers masters programs in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
Faculty of Law
The faculty of law offers graduate and postgraduate courses in law. There is also a separate course in Business Law. There is Doctor of Philosophy available in the institute of law.
Campus of Nirma University:
The university occupies a sprawling campus of 110 acres and features excellent infrastructure. The campus has seminar rooms, auditoriums, computer laboratories, canteens, hostels, library etc. Corporate visitors, parents and teachers, all have suitable facilities inside the campus.
