Nissan Micra To Hit Indian Roads On July 15th

Nissan Micra, the much awaited compact hatchback to which company has recently started

displaying at its showrooms across India will hit the roads on 15th of July, this year. The company has already started the pre-order bookings of this model at its showrooms at an initial amount of Rs 50,000.

The Nissan Micra model will be powered with a 1.2liter DOHC 12 Valve 3-cylinder petrol engine which is capable to generate a maximum power of 76PS @ 6,000rpm along with a torque of 104kg per 4000rpm. According the ARAI the Micra offers a high mileage of 18.6 km/litre. The Micra will be launched in four variants including XE (basic), XE Plus, XL (middle), and XV (high-end), in the expected price range of Rs 4 to 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model will be available in six different colors including Sunlight Orange, Blade Silver, Storm White, Pacific Blue, Onyx Black and Brick Red.

The Nissan Micra XE, which is the base model of the company, is featured with roof antenna, Drive Computer, manual AC, power steering with tilt adjustment, engine immobilizer, black interior colour scheme and driver side airbag. While the Nissan Micra XE + comes with some additional features as compare to the base model including OE Audio system with 4 speakers, seat cover fabric (Black & Silver color combination), steering wheel cover (Pure Leather Black & Silver color combination), full wheel covers.

The Nissan Micra XL variant, which is second from the top, comes loaded with some more additional features as compare to XE variant, which includes full wheel covers, rear wiper and washer, tachometer; parcel Shelf, integrated audio system with 4 speakers aux-in port, power windows: front and rear with drive anti-pinch function, central door lock, remote keyless entry.

The top variant, which has been named as Nissan Micra XV, is loaded with all new generation safety and comfort features like electric Park and fold mirror, door mirror electric adjustment, auto AC, Greige interior colour scheme, Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, front passenger side airbag, ABS + EBD + BA, front fog lamps, security alarm.

The launch of Nissan Micra will mark the debut of the company in the segment compact cars in India, which has already become very congested with a series of new car launches in last few months. The new entrants in this segment includes Chevrolet Beat, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo and recently launched new Maruti Wagon R.
